What is a Semi-automatic Twistlock
A lash semi-automatic twistlock is a type of locking device that helps to secure shipping containers. It consists of a semi-automatic locking arm and a twistlock. The arm automatically locks onto the container when it is in the closed position. The twistlock is used to secure the arm in place.
Parts of a lash semi-automatic twistlock
There are six main parts to a lash semi-automatic twistlock: the body, the handle, the barrel, the locking lug, the pawl and the spring. The body is made up of two halves that fit together and house all of the other parts. The handle is attached to one half of the body and is used to grip and turn the lock. The barrel is located on top of the body and houses the locking lug. The locking lug extends out from the barrel and engages with notches on the barrel extension to keep the barrel in place. The pawl is located on one side of the body and engages with teeth on the bolt carrier to lock it in place. The spring is located inside of the body and provides power to all of these components.

First, find a piece of scrap metal that is about 2 feet long and 1/2 inch wide. Then use a grinder or cutoff wheel to cut two notches in one end of the metal. The notches should be about 1/4 inch wide and 1/4 inch deep.
Next, use a hammer and punch to make a hole in the center of the other end of the metal. The hole should be about 1/4 inch in diameter. Finally, use a file or grinder to sharpen one end of the metal into a point.
